Banana Cake with Caramel

3 whole ripe bananas peeled (the more ripe the better)
2 1/2 cups of all purpose wheat flour
4 oz. of unsalted butter
2 tbsp of oil
1/2 tbsp of baking powder
2 cups of sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
15 caramel candies more or less
In an electric mixer, beat the oil, butter, eggs and sugar. Beat until a homogeneous mass is formed.
Add the bananas gradually.
Add the baking powder, flour (remember to sift 2 times for a more fluffy and soft cake) the cinnamon and nutmeg, beat well for about 3 to 5 minutes. The dough will be very consistent and smooth.
Grease a round cake pan with a hole in the middle. Use butter, flour, sugar and cinnamon and apply in layers. Place the dough in the greased pan and spread the caramel candy on top.
Bake for 45 minutes 355º F. (time can vary from oven).
Use a toothpick to check if it is done. If the toothpick comes out clean your cake is ready.
Remove from the oven and let cool down for 5-10 minutes before removing from the pan.

Tip: If you are baking in a different type of cake pan, it might take a little longer to bake. Adjust your time accordingly.
